Can I check my Vantage credit score range online?

Answer:

You can get your Vantage score online cheap through the Experian website.

The Vantage credit score range goes from 501 to 990. Letters A, B, C, D, F are assigned for the 900, 800, 700, 600 and 500 range, respectively.

The VantageScore was recently introduced by the three credit bureaus - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion as a jointly developed proprietary credit score algorithm. The FICO score used by the CRCs uses different pools of data and a different FICO based algorithm. Thus each credit bureau reports different scores to consumers, as not every employer or creditor sends the consumer report to all three bureaus.

Vantage credit score is expected to show better consistency and predictability. Vantage credit score was expected to overthrow FICO, but the Fair Isaac Co came up with the FICO 08 - a new FICO scoring model.

The competition between Vantage and FICO is still pending. The new FICO algorithm is expected to help reduce default rates with up to 15%.
