How is an individual loan officer different from a regular loan officer?
Answer:A loan officer will usually be working from the office and department building of a mortgage broker or lender, while an individual loan officer will again be sponsored by a mortgage broker or lender and will have the freedom and flexibility to work on their own schedule and/or website.
To describe it shortly, an individual loan officer will have freedom and flexibility in terms of their working hours but not necessarily in terms of accountability.
Often a mortgage corporation will sponsor the creation of websites for their loan officers, making the service more personalized. Also, while it is easy to find anonymous mortgage quotes on the internet, submitting sensitive personal information on a mortgage application is an altogether different matter. People would rather work with an individual loan officer, who is a registered representative of a large financial body rather than blindly enter personal details to a possible mortgage scam.
